Omar Farhoud
Chairman
Born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Omar is passionate about both business and boating.
Between 2009 and 2021 Omar was managing director of Rail Technology Co, which is a collaboration between Saudi Binladen group & DB. He has held senior positions with several banks including City Bank, ABN AMRO, HSBC and NCB. Omar was also founder of food brand MANOOSHA and consults to the Ministry of Sport and Ministry of Transportation.
Omar is an RYA Certified Sail & Power Skipper and enjoying sailing on the Red Sea and throughout Europe.
Omar invests in property both in and outside Saudi Arabia.
Richard Moore
Director of Marketing
For over 30 years Richard has been a leading figure in sport and entertainment marketing. In 1995 he founded Capitalize, one of the world's first marketing agencies dedicated to helping brands and businesses grow through the power of sport and entertainment.
In 2015 Richard created Alter Agency, which helps brands of all sizes to communicate and provide richer consumer experiences through creativity.
Since 2022 Richard has worked in Saudi Arabia helping to grow the leisure marine industry including Saudi Sailing Federation, Jeddah Yacht Club and the inaugural America's Cup Preliminary Regatta, Jeddah.
Richard is a prolific racing sailor and coach.
Robin Gray
Director of Operations
Robin comes from an agricultural and construction background and has both sailed and water skied since he was very young, and continues today, actively participating in races at his local club. Robin has been in the marine industry within the GCC since 2007, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi and most recently in Dubai working with DP World at Port Rashid.
He managed and directed three Global Race campaigns including personnel and logistics and ran on behalf of HSBC Education Trust their children’s program alongside Dame Mary Richardson the Chairwoman of the Trust.
Robin came to Saudi in August 2020 to construct a Water Park at ‘Ar Rayis’ a new cruise ship destination. Since that project he has been involved, in an advisory capacity, for the development of marinas and yachting facilities in Jeddah. He assisted Red Sea Global to deliver the 30m ferry ‘De Nieuwe Prins’ from Rotterdam by heavy lift ship to Yanbu and then on to Al Wajh.
He was instrumental in organising the yachting entertainment for Jeddah Season 2022. He sourced and purchased boats on behalf of JYC for their sailing academy. He has developed relationships with the Saudi Sailing Federation, Saudi Red Sea Authority and others.
